Two-Factor Authentication Setup Guide
Secure your InworkJobs account with an extra layer of protection
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an additional security layer to your account. Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without the unique verification code generated by your authenticator app. We strongly recommend all users enable this feature.
Before You Begin
You will need an authenticator application installed on your mobile device. We recommend any of the following free and trusted apps:
Setup Instructions
Log Into Your Account
Sign in to your InworkJobs account using your registered email address and password. Navigate to your account dashboard from the top-right menu.
Open Security Settings
From your dashboard, locate and click on "Settings" in the sidebar menu. Then select the "Security" tab to access security-related options for your account.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication
Find the "Two-Factor Authentication" section and click on the "Enable" button. A QR code and a setup key will be displayed on your screen. Do not refresh or leave this page until setup is complete.
Scan QR Code With Your Authenticator App
Open your authenticator app on your mobile device. Tap the "+" or "Add Account" button, then select "Scan QR Code." Point your camera at the QR code displayed on InworkJobs. Alternatively, you can manually enter the setup key provided below the QR code.
Verify the Setup
After scanning, your authenticator app will generate a 6-digit verification code. Enter this code in the verification field on InworkJobs and click "Verify & Enable." The code refreshes every 30 seconds, so enter it promptly.
Save Your Backup Codes
Once 2FA is successfully enabled, you will be provided with backup recovery codes. Save these codes in a secure location, preferably offline. These codes allow you to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app. Each backup code can only be used once.
Important Security Notes
Store your backup codes securely. We recommend printing them and keeping them in a safe physical location, or storing them in a password manager.
Do not share your backup codes or authenticator app access with anyone. InworkJobs support will never ask you for your 2FA codes.
If you lose access to both your authenticator app and backup codes, account recovery will require contacting support with proof of identity. This process may take several business days.
You can disable 2FA at any time from the Security Settings page, but you will need to provide a valid 2FA code to do so.
